The Guardian: USA thinks Putin has decided to invade

Warns there is a "very distinct" possibility of invation.

On Friday the President of USA talked with several world leaders, afterwards several countries are urging citizens to go home.

Now according to The Guardian the US government warns that there is a “very distinct possibility” of a Russian invasion of Ukraine in a few days.

What has changed the situation in Ukraine is that Russia now has enough troops for an invation, says american national security advisor Jake Sullivan of the White House.

Denying that they want to invade

In 2008 Russia invaded Georgia during the summer olympics in Beijing in China. Russia’s invation of Crimea in 2014 happened at the same time as the winter olympics in Sochi in Russia.

Now Russia has 100.000 troops near the Ukranian border.

Russia has several times denied that they have plans to invade Ukraine.

Flights to Ukraine are halted

Some airlines have cancelled flights to Ukraine during heightened fears of invation.
